What’s slated for this year (2009/2010):
September - Lansing Teen Challenge speaker and talking about what we’ll do for this years community projects (exp., community garden, book swap, children’s holiday party, etc.)
October - Guest speaker - Ingham County of Register of Deeds, Curtis Hertel, Jr. - He’s going to come and talk about home forclosures and what every homeowner should know. He’ll also talk about what the Register of Deeds office does.
November - We are hoping to have representatives from the CSO and rain garden projects out to talk about what’s planned for next year. We are also going to pick the community projects we are going to move forward and start to plan them.
December - Holiday Social December 8th from 6:30-9:00 at 1720 Bradley Street. Bring a little something to pass.
January - We are talking about community gardens this month! We have speakers from Lansing Garden Project and local community gardens coming to talk about their experiences. This will be a GREAT way to start off our community garden project this year! Join us!
February - General meeting
March - Update on community garden project.
April - General meeting
May - General meeting
June - General meeting, organize for Kids Carnival
July - Potluck Social at the park pavilion starting at 6:30. Bring a dish to pass, your plate, and utensils - and a smile of course! * Tuesday July 13th *
August - No meeting
